City University – three corporate identities in a decade

Bloody nora – City University has now wasted time and money on three corporate identities in a decade.

The earliest was fine – red and black crest with black writing – here’s a black and white version.

Despite being quite timeless, that was replaced by a very noddy one which resembled children’s building blocks.

I like the new one which harks back to the earliest, but does somewhat remind me of roadkill.

I think the yo-yo-ing is a sign of a weak sense of identity and loose purse-strings. Or alternatively, a very domineering business school.

  1. I went to Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education in High Wycombe, which since 1995 has changed twice, first to Buckinghamshire Chilterns University, then to the current stupid Buckinghamshire New University. No wonder they couldn’t find my transcript.
